IMHCS2017

Highly correlated systems have become an exciting and diverse field in condensed matter physics. Systems characterized by strong electronic correlation are essential for many applications of unquestionable technological interest and have become the focus of advanced research. The main focus of this meeting is to provide an overall current scenario of developments of systems with strong interactions and correlations between the constituent particles. As such we do not have a good general approach to understand "highly correlated systems" and a unified view on the systems for which correlated interactions are important. Many new systems have been realized as highly correlated and many new developments have taken place during past few years. The contributions depicts the growing appreciation for the influence of disorder and frustration, the need for organizing principles, as well as detailed investigations on particular materials of interest and, development of new materials. The main goal of IMHCS 2017 is to establish a common framework for understanding the physics of highly correlated systems and thus for developing novel ideas and collaborations for studying the role of interactions in highly correlated systems
